KRYSTAR® Crystalline Fructose is a nutritive corn sweetener which is processed from high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) into a pure white free flowing crystalline material or a pure water white syrup. Pure fructose is the sweetest of all naturally occurring carbohydrate sweeteners.
KRYSTAR® is a sweetener that is also a functional food ingredient. Its properties differ from sucrose and HFCS and allow formulators to take advantage of high relative sweetness, high solubility, synergy with nutritive and non-nutritive sweeteners and interaction with a wide variety of food ingredients. These properties present the opportunity to formulate products with reduced levels of sweeteners, flavorings, starch and acids.
